Routing Transactions

Users with appropriate security rights can route a pending transaction to another person or organisation. You may not be able to route a transaction, depending on the status of the transaction and your security rights.

You can either route a single transaction from the transaction detail page, or you can route one or more selected transactions from the Pending Transactions page.

To route a transaction from the transaction detail page:

  1. Access the transaction's detail page from the Pending Transactions page.

  2. Press the Route Transaction button on the detail page.

The Route Item(s) page displays. (If your organisation does not have subsidiaries or branches, click here to view help for the Route Item(s) page.)

  3. Select the name of the person or organisation to whom you want to route the transaction, then press Route Item(s).

The Pending Transactions page redisplays with an informational confirmation message for the routed item.

To route one or more pending transactions:

  1. Press the Instruments navigation button from any page displaying the navigation bar.

The Instruments area displays with the Pending Transactions tab active and showing the default work view in the Show drop-down list. Your selection in the Show drop-down list determines what pending transactions are displayed in the pending transactions listing. Your default work view is defined in your user profile and can be changed by users with security rights to maintain users.

  2. In the left-most column of the pending transactions listing, select the checkbox for each transaction you want to route.

  1. Press Route Selected Item(s).

The Route Item(s) page displays. (If your organisation does not have subsidiaries or branches, click here to view help for the Route Item(s) page.)

  2. Select the name of the person or organisation to whom you want to route the transaction(s), then press Route Item(s).

The Pending Transactions page redisplays with a confirmation for each routed item.
