Deleting Address Book

When a party currently stored in the system is no longer needed, users with appropriate security rights can delete the party through the Reference Data Area with Address Book.

To delete a party:

Press the Reference Data navigation button from any page displaying the navigation bar.

The Reference Data Area displays.
Select Address Book from the Show drop-down list.

The Reference Data Area with Address Book displays.
In the Party Name column, click on the party name link for the party you want to delete.

The Address Book page appears for the party you selected.
Press Delete. If you do not have security rights to maintain parties, or if the party you selected does not belong to your organisation, the page appears in read-only mode and the Delete button does not appear on the page.

A message appears asking you to confirm that you want to delete the party.
If you are certain you want to delete the party, press Yes to confirm the delete action. The party is deleted from the system and the Reference Data Area with Address Book displays.

If you do not want to delete the party, press No to cancel the delete process. The party will not be deleted from the system and the Reference Data Area with Address Book displays.
