This section provides information about page controls and how to use them in the Trade Services system. This topic includes the Working with the Navigation Bar and Working with Fields and Controls.
At the top of each primary page is a navigation bar that allows you to navigate to all other areas of the system and perform other system-wide tasks, such as logging out, returning to the home page, or displaying system-wide help.
The fields and controls contained in the navigation bar are described below. One or more of the buttons on the navigation bar may not be available, depending on your security rights.

Fields and controls appear on every page in the system, allowing you to enter, modify, or process data controlled by the system. There are many different types of fields and controls, and most of them will be familiar to you if you have worked with other web- or Windows-based applications.
On every page in the system required fields or controls are indicated by a red asterisk (*). These fields/controls must be completed, or the current process will be rejected due to insufficient data.
The table below lists each general type of field and control you will encounter in the system. Fields and controls specific to a certain type of page are described in the topics listed in Related Topics below. In addition, online help for a page or a section of a page (accessible by pressing the icon from the page or section) provides a description of each field and control that is specific to the page.
