Deleting Security Profiles

When a security profile currently stored in the system is no longer needed, users with appropriate security rights can delete the security profile through the Reference Data Area with Security Profiles.

Note: You cannot delete a security profile that is assigned to one or more active users.

To delete a security profile:

Press the Reference Data navigation button from any page displaying the navigation bar.

The Reference Data Area displays.
Select Security Profiles from the Show drop-down list.

The Reference Data Area with Security Profiles displays.
In the Security Profile Name column, click on the security profile name link for the security profile you want to modify.

The Security Profile page appears for the security profile you selected.
Press Delete. If you do not have security rights to maintain security profiles, or if the security profile you selected does not belong to your organisation, the page appears in read-only mode and the Delete button does not appear on the page.

A message appears asking you to confirm that you want to delete the security profile.
If you are certain you want to delete the security profile, press Yes to confirm the delete action. The security profile is deleted from the system and the Reference Data Area with Security Profiles displays.

If you do not want to delete the security profile, press No to cancel the delete process. The security profile is not deleted from the system and the Reference Data Area with Security Profiles displays.
