The New Mail Message page allows you to enter information for a new or draft mail message.
Different action buttons appear on the page (Route, Save Draft, Send to Bank, and so on), depending on your security rights. Click here to read about the actions available on different types of messages and notifications.
The fields and controls contained in the Mail Message page are described below.

Description |
Search Instruments |
Pressing this button displays the Instrument Search page, which allows you to search for and select the instrument to which this message is in reference. This field displays for new or draft messages. |
Subject |
The subject of the message. For new outgoing messages you create or edit, specify the message subject by entering a descriptive subject in the text area. This field can contain up to 60 characters. |
Message |
The text of the message. For new outgoing messages you create or edit, specify the message text by entering the text into the extended text area. This field can contain up to 4000 characters. |
Route |
Selecting this button displays the Route Item Pop-up Page (with the appropriate content shown depending on whether the user’s organization has child organizations or not). In order for this button to appear the user must have the “Route” security right for mail messages. |
Send to Bank |
Selecting this button sends the message to the corresponding bank. |
Save Draft |
Selecting this button saves the message as a draft. The message is then available for viewing or editing via the Drafts view of the Messages list. |
Close |
Selecting this button closes the page without saving or returning any data. |
Attach Document |
Selecting this button allows the user to attach documents to the message. |
Delete Document |
Selecting this button deletes the selected document(s). |
