Editing Transactions

A transaction often needs to be edited after it is created in order to enter additional data or to fix problems found during the verification and/or authorisation process. In order to edit a transaction, you must have create/modify security rights for the instrument and transaction type that you want to edit; in addition, the transaction you want to edit must have a status of "Started", "Ready to Authorise", "Partially Authorised", or "Authorise Failed".

To edit a transaction with a status of "Started", simply access the transaction from the Pending Transaction or Instrument History, or Instrument Summary page and it will display in edit mode. You can then edit any of the fields on the form. After you finish entering all transaction data, the transaction must be verified.

To edit a transaction with a status of "Ready to Authorise", "Partially Authorised", or "Authorise Failed":

  1. Display the transaction that you want to edit.

  2. Press Edit Data.

    The transaction page redisplays in edit mode. You can then edit any of the fields on the form. After you finish entering all transaction data, the transaction must be verified.
