Verifying Transactions

After you create a transaction or discrepancy response and enter all information into the transaction form, you must verify the transaction. The verification process checks the transaction against a list of standard data requirements for the transaction and, if the process is successful, advances the transaction's status from "Started" to "Ready to Authorise".

In order to verify a transaction, you must have create/modify security rights for the instrument and transaction type that you want to verify, and the transaction you want to verify must have a status of "Started".

To verify a transaction:

  1. Display the transaction that you want to verify.

  2. Press Verify. The verification process begins.

If no errors are found, the transaction's status is changed from "Started" to "Ready to Authorise" and a message displays informing you that the transaction has been successfully verified.

If errors are found, one or more error messages display in the messages and warnings area of the page. Click here to read about the different types of messages and warnings s in the system and how to respond to them.

Note:      For Export Collection issue transactions, you may need to add payment instructions for the transaction after verification. See Issue Export Collection for more information.
