When an instrument template currently stored in the system is no longer needed, users with appropriate security rights can delete the template through the Reference Data Area with Instrument Templates.
Note: You cannot delete the default template for your organisation.
To delete an instrument template:
Press the Reference Data navigation button from any page displaying the navigation bar.
The Reference Data Area displays.
Select Instrument Templates from the Show drop-down list.
The Reference Data Area with Instrument Templates displays.
In the Template Name column, click on the template name link for the template you want to delete.
The Instrument Template page appears for the template you selected.
Press Delete. If you do not have security rights to maintain templates, or if the template you selected does not belong to your organisation, the page appears in read-only mode and the Delete button does not appear on the page.
A message appears asking you to confirm that you want to delete the instrument template.
If you are certain you want to delete the template, press Yes to confirm the delete action. The template is deleted from the system and the Reference Data Area with Instrument Templates displays.
If you do not want to delete the template, press No to cancel the delete process. The template is not deleted from the system and the Reference Data Area with Instrument Templates displays.
