Users with appropriate security rights can authorise one or more pending transactions, either from the Pending Transactions page or directly from the transaction detail page. Authorised users can also access transactions awaiting authorisation from the Home page, if transactions have been routed specifically to them for authorisation. Before a transaction can be authorised, it must have been successfully verified.
To authorise a transaction from the transaction detail page, simply access the transaction from the Pending Transaction, Instrument History, or Instrument Summary page and press the Authorise button. This button displays only if the transaction has a status of "Ready to Authorise", "Partially Authorised", or "Authorise Failed".
To authorise one or more pending transactions from the Pending Transactions page:
Press the Instruments navigation button from any page displaying the navigation bar.
The Instruments area displays with the Pending Transactions tab active and showing the default work view in the Show drop-down list. Your selection in the Show drop-down list determines what pending transactions are displayed in the pending transactions listing. Your default work view is defined in your user profile and can be changed by users with security rights to maintain users.
In the left-most column of the pending transactions listing, select the checkbox for each transaction you want to authorise. If you select more than one transaction for the same instrument, the authorisation process will fail.
Press Authorise Selected Item(s).
The authorisation process for the selected transactions begins and the Pending Transactions page redisplays. The status of each selected transaction is reset to "Authorise Pending".
After the authorisation process has successfully completed, the status changes to "Authorised" or "Partially Authorised".
If the authorisation is not successful, the status changes to "Authorise Failed"; to view information about the failed authorisation, click on the Authorisation Failed link in the Status column of the Pending Transactions page.
