Deleting Work Groups

When a work groups currently stored in the system is no longer needed, users with appropriate security rights can delete the work group through the Reference Data Area with Work Groups.

Note: You cannot delete a work group that is assigned to one or more users.

To delete a work group:

1. Press the Reference Data navigation button from any page displaying the navigation bar.

The Reference Data Area displays.

2. Select Work Groups from the Show drop-down list.

The  Reference Data Area with Work Groups displays.

3. In the Work Group Name column, click on the work group name link for the work group you want to delete.

The Work Groups page appears for the work group you selected.

4. Press Delete. If you do not have security rights to maintain work groups, the page appears in read-only mode and the Delete button does not appear on the page.

A message appears asking you to confirm that you want to delete the work group.

5. If you are certain you want to delete the work group, press Yes to confirm the delete action. The work group is deleted from the system and the Reference Data Area with Work Groups displays.

If you do not want to delete the work group, press No to cancel the delete action. The work group is not deleted from the system and the Reference Data Area with Work Groups displays.
