Users with appropriate security rights can add unassigned purchase order line items to the Goods Description area of the Issue Import Letter of Credit or Amend Import Letter of Credit page.
Note: You can view purchase order data only if the purchase order functionality has been activated for your organisation and you have security rights to process purchase orders.
To add Purchase Order Line Items to an Import Letter of Credit transaction:
In the Instruments area, display the Import Letter of Credit issue or amend transaction to which you want to add purchase order line item data. In order to add purchase order data to a transaction, the transaction must still be displayed in the Pending Transactions page.
Go to the Shipment section of the transaction and find the Goods Description text area.
Press Add PO Line Items. This button displays only if there are unassigned purchase order line items.
The Add PO Line Items page displays. Its contents depend on whether purchase order line items already exist for the instrument:
- If purchase order line items do not exist for the instrument, then all unassigned purchase order line items are displayed in the Add PO Line Items page.
- If purchase order line items exist for the instrument, then only unassigned purchase orders that have the same purchase order file definition, Beneficiary, and Currency as the existing purchase order line items are displayed in the Add PO Line Items page.
Select each purchase order line item you want to add to the current transaction's Goods Description, then press Add Selected PO Line Items.
The transaction page redisplays with the selected purchase order line items displayed in the Goods Description text area. The transaction amount is adjusted to include the selected purchase order line item amounts. You can then complete the remaining transaction fields and process the transaction according to the standard transaction workflow in the system.
