Amend Outgoing Guarantee

The Amend Outgoing Guarantee page allows you to enter information for a Guarantee amend transaction.

Different action buttons appear on the page (Attach a Document, Save, Save & Close, Verify Data, and so on), depending on the transaction's status and/or whether the transaction is in edit mode or read-only mode. This page appears in read-only mode if you have view only security rights to instruments, if the transaction has any status other than "Started", or if the instrument was not created by your organisation (if your organisation has subsidiaries). Terms

The Terms section of the Amend Outgoing Guarantee page contains basic information about the Guarantee amend transaction. The fields and controls contained in this section are described below.

Field/Control

Description

Reference Number

Your reference number for the instrument, displayed in read-only form.

Applicant’s Name

The applicant’s name is displayed for information in read-only form.  This is the name of the applicant of the guarantee instrument based on the last transaction processed by the bank.

Amount

The amount of the transaction. This field displays in read-only form the original amount from the issue transaction, with the currency indicated before the amount.

To enter a new Guarantee amount, select Increase By or Decrease By from the drop-down list in this area, enter a dollar amount in the text box, and press Calculate New Amount. The new amount will display in the New Amount read-only field.

New Amount

Displays the new Guarantee amount, based on the original issue amount and whether you selected Increase By or Decrease By from the Amount drop-down list. This field displays only when the page is in editable form.

New Validity

 

Valid From

Indicates the new date from which the Guarantee is valid. To specify, select one of the following options:

·         Current Validity From Date - The Guarantee is valid from its current valid from date based on the last transaction processed by the bank.  This is the default selection.  Accepting the default selection means that no change in the validity from date is required and no change in the valid from date will be sent to the bank for processing.

·         Date of Issue - The Guarantee is valid from its issue date.

·         Other Date -  The Guarantee is valid from a date other than its issue date. If you select this option, you must also enter a date by selecting a day, month, and year from the appropriate drop-down list.

Valid To

Indicates the new date until which the Guarantee is valid. To specify, select one of the following options:

·         End Date - The outgoing Guarantee is valid until a specified date. If you select this option, you must also enter a dateby selecting a day, month, and year from the appropriate drop-down lists.

·         No Expiry Date / Open Ended .

·         Expected Expiry -  Valid To: 'date' Expected Expiry (If Expected Expiry is selected)

·         Other - The Outgoing Guarantee is valid until a date detailed in the Instructions to Bank text area. If you select this option, be sure to also enter information about the Valid To date in the Instructions to Bank text area or via the pop-up.

 

Additional Instructions

The Additional Instructions section of the Amend Outgoing Guarantee page contains information about the terms for the Guarantee amend transaction. The fields and controls contained in the section are described below.

The changes to the Guarantee terms for the amend transaction. To enter text, you can either type directly into the text area, or add a phrase from the drop-down list to the text area. The text area can contain up to 5000 characters.

 

Instructions to Bank

The Instructions to Bank section of the Amend Outgoing Guarantee page contains instructions to your bank for the Guarantee amend transaction. The fields and controls contained in this section are described below.
