Outgoing Standby Letter of Credit Discrepancy Response

The Outgoing Standby Letter of Credit Discrepancy Response page allows you to enter information for a Standby Letter of Credit discrepancy response transaction.

Different action buttons appear on the page (Attach a Document, Save, Save & Close, Verify Data, and so on), depending on the transaction's status and/or whether the transaction is in edit mode or read-only mode. This page appears in read-only mode if you have view only security rights to instruments, if the transaction has any status other than "Started", or if the instrument was not created by your organisation (if your organisation has subsidiaries).  Field/Control

 Description

Presentation Amount

The drawing amount for the Outgoing Standby Letter of Credit. This field displays in read-only form the current amount from the instrument, with the currency indicated before the amount.

Presentation Number

This field represents the number of presentations under Import LCs, Export LCs, Outgoing SLCs, Incoming SLCs, and Request to Advise instruments as well as for the Approval to Pay notices received for Approval to Pay instruments. This field displays in read-only and is based on the number of presentations for the instrument.

Presentation Date

This field represents the number of presentation date (date documents were presented) under Import LCs, Export LCs, Outgoing SLCs, Incoming SLCs, and Request to Advise instruments as well as for the Approval to Pay notices received for Approval to Pay instruments. This field displays in read-only and is based on the date the documents were presented for the transaction.

Other Party

This field represents the counter party to the transaction; this field will preload based on the discrepancy notice from bank. This field displays in read only.

Indicates how to resolve the discrepancy described in the discrepancy notice. To specify, select one of the following option buttons:

Documents are accepted notwithstanding discrepancies - Indicates that you accept the document(s) in question even though they are discrepant.

Documents are rejected - Indicates that you do not accept the documents and the Import Letter of Credit should not be processed by the bank.

Other (enter additional instructions below) - Indicates another resolution to the discrepancy. If you select this option, you must enter your response details in the Additional Instructions area.

 

Related Documents

This field represents the related documents attached to this message received from TPS for which there are related TradeForm document images.

<Document Name>

Displays the name of all documents related to the Discrepancy Response and available for viewing.  The user can choose to view the document through the Image or PDF hyperlinks if available.

Additional Instructions

Additional text for your discrepancy response. To enter text, you can either type directly into the text area, or add a phrase from the drop-down list to the text area. The text area can contain up to 1000 characters.

Save

Saves the response details in the database, but the page will not be closed. The saved time will be updated on the page.

Save and Close

Saves the response details in the database and closes the response page. User is taken back to the previous page.

Verify Data

Triggers verification of the form.  If errors returned, they are displayed to the user at the top of the page.

Route Transaction

 

User can choose to route this transaction to another user’s inbox.

Attach Document

A pop-up will be presented enabling the user to select one or more documents to be attached.

Edit

Updates the transaction status to Started and displays the response page in editable mode for the user to edit.

Authorise

Authorises the response.

Authorise and Delete

Authorises the transaction and deletes the associated message from the Mail List.
