Payment Files Definition

The Payment File Definition List page displays an inventory of all Payment Definitions accessible to the user. Payment Definitions are referenced by the system when uploading Payment.

A Payment Definition can be viewed by selecting the appropriate Display Name hyperlink. Only Bank Administrators are able to create new definitions or modify existing ones.

The Payment Definition List page displays an inventory of all Payment Definitions accessible to the user. Payment Definitions are referenced by the system when uploading Payments. A Payment Definition can be viewed by selecting the appropriate Display Name hyperlink. A new Definition can be created by selecting the New button, which will display the Payment Definition Details page. Bank Administrators are also able to modify existing Payment Definitions.

There are two types of file format.

· Fixed file format

· Delimited file format ( semi colon , pipe , tab and comma separated )

Apart from these, the bank also has 2 other types of Payment file definitions -

ABA Fixed File format - predefined Australia Domestic Payments payment file definition known as ABA has to be established at the Bank Admin level. This file definition will apply to a payment method of ACH or BKT only. This is a Fixed file format.
Papua New Guinea (PNG) ABA Fixed File format - predefined PNG ABA Domestic Payments payment file definition has to be established at the Bank Admin level. This file definition will apply to a payment method of ACH or BKT only. This is a Fixed File format.

There various operations available for a Payment file definition page are :

· To create a new Payment file definition, press the New button. The Payment File Definition Form page is displayed for you to enter the new payment file definition details.

· To delete a Payment File Definition , click the payment file definition that is previously entered that you wish to delete. Press the Delete button. The page refreshes and the Payment file definition is no longer displayed in the listview.

· To edit a Payment file definition, click the payment file definition that you with to edit. Make the necessary changes for the payment file definition and click on Save or Save& close. The payment file definition has the updated changes in it.
