Reset User Account Page

The Reset User Account Page appears when an admin user with the appropriate security rights selects a locked user account in the Locked Out Users Listing and presses the Reset User Account button. This page enables the admin user to reset the selected user's password and/or the user's count of unsuccessful login attempts (thereby unlocking the user's account).

The fields and controls contained in the Home page are described below.

Field/Control Description

Reset only the unsuccessful login count for the user

Selecting this option and pressing the Reset Account button resets the user's count of invalid login attempts and returns the admin user to the Locked Out Users Listing.

Reset the unsuccessful login count and the user’s password

Selecting this option and pressing the Reset Account button resets the user's password (temporarily setting it to the password entered in the New Password and Retype New Password fields), as well as the user's count of invalid login attempts, and returns the admin user to the Locked Out Users Listing.

When the formerly locked out user logs into the application again, he/she will be prompted to change the interim password entered by the admin user when the account was reset.

Reset Account

Selecting an option and pressing this button resets the user's password and/or the user's count of invalid login attempts, and redisplays the Locked Out Users Listing.

Cancel

Pressing this button returns the admin user to the Locked Out Users Listing without performing any actions.
