Deleting External Banks
When an External Bank currently stored in the system is no longer needed, client bank admin users with appropriate security rights (CCH) can delete the External Bank through the Organisations area.
Note: You cannot delete an External Bank that has active corporate users associated with it. When an External Bank is deleted, its historical data is still available for retrieval in reports and on history pages in the system. Deleted External Bank cannot be reactivated.
To delete an External Bank:
Press the Organisations button from any page displaying the admin navigation bar. The Organisations area displays and includes tabs for the External Banks which you have security rights to maintain.
If more than one tab is displayed, select the External Banks tab. The External Banks Listing page displays, listing all of the External Banks that exist for your bank. In the External Bank Name column, click on the External Bank name link for the External Bank you want to delete.
Press Delete. A message displays asking you to confirm that you want to delete the operational External Bank. If you do not have security rights to maintain External Banks, the External Bank page opens in read-only form and the Delete button does not display.
If you are certain you want to delete the External Bank, press Yes to confirm the delete action. The External Bank is deleted from the system and the External Banks Listing redisplays. If you do not want to delete the External Bank, press No to cancel the delete process. The External Bank is not deleted from the system and the External Banks Listing redisplays.
