Creating External Banks

Client bank admin users with security rights (CCH) to maintain External Banks can create them in the Organisations area. One or more External Banks can then be assigned to corporate customers.

To create an External Bank:

  1. Press the Organisations button from any page displaying the admin navigation bar.The Organisations area displays and includes tabs for the External Banks for which you have security rights to maintain.

  2. If more than one tab is displayed, select the External Banks tab.The External Banks Listing page displays.

  3. Press NEW. If you do not have security rights to maintain External Banks, this button does not display.  The External Bank page appears.

  4. Enter External Bank information into the page. Required information is indicated by a red asterisk (*). After you are finished entering data, press Save & Close.  The new External Bank is saved and the External Banks Listing page redisplays.

  5. After an External Bank has been created, it can be associated with a corporate customer through the Corporate Customer page.

  6. When you create a corporate customer, you must associate multiple External Banks with the new corporate customer.

  7. The External Bank(s) associated with a corporate customer is displayed to the corporate customer's users in the Bank/Branch Selector pop-up while creating new transactions. This allows the corporate customer user to effectively select the External Ban that will process the transaction.

  8. If only one External Bank  has been associated with a corporate customer, then the Bank/Branch Selector pop-up defaults to the single External Bank that has been associated with the corporate customer and the New Transaction page directly opens up.
