Admin User

The Admin User page is where users with appropriate security rights can view, enter, or modify information for a user's admin user profile. This page appears in read-only mode if you have view only security rights to user profiles, or if you have displayed the page as a result of pressing the View My User Profile button on the Admin Home page.

 

The fields and controls contained in the Admin User page are described below.

 

Field/Control

Description

User ID*

The user ID for the admin user. The user ID must be unique for the organisation and displays on pages listing admin user information. This field can contain up to 30 characters and is a required field.

First Name*

The first name of the admin user. This field can contain up to 15 characters and is a required field.

Middle Initial

The middle initial of the admin user. This field can contain 1 character.

Last Name*

The last name of the admin user. This field can contain up to 30 characters and is a required field.

Region Setting*

The region for the admin user. Selecting a region here allows you to identify the region with which the admin user is associated. Examples of regions include English (Australia), English (Canada), and French (Canada). Selecting a region here determines the language in which the system pages are displayed.

Phone Number

The phone number of the admin user. This field can contain up to 20 characters.

Fax Number

The fax number of the admin user. This field can contain up to 20 characters.

Email Address

The email address of the admin user. This field can contain up to 50 characters.

Authentication Method

The drop down has the following values -

  • Password

  • Certificate

  • 2-Factor Authentication (2FA)

  • Single Sign-On

 

When selecting Password following information needs be specified -

Login ID - The login ID for the admin user. This ID allows the user to be identified on pages and reports listing system user information.

New Password - The new password for the admin user. Resetting the password in this field    will require the admin user to enter this new password the next time he or she logs into the Trade Services system. This field can contain up to 30 characters.

This field is used only if the user's organisation uses passwords, rather than certificates, for user authentication.

Retype New Password - The password for the user, exactly as entered into the password field on this page. This field can contain up to 30 characters.

When selecting Certificate following information needs be specified -

Certificate ID - The certificate ID for the user. This field is used as follows:

If your organisation currently uses certificates, rather than passwords, for security purposes, then enter the certificate ID into this field.

If your organisation currently uses passwords to log into the system,you can optionally enter a certificate ID into this field if your organisation will be transitioning to certificate-based security in the future.

 

When selecting 2-Factor Authentication (2FA)  following information needs be specified -

Security Device ID - The security device ID for the user. This field is used as follows:

If your organisation currently uses 2-factor authentication, rather than passwords, for security purposes, then enter the security device ID into this field.

If your organisation currently uses passwords to log into the system, you can optionally enter a security device ID into this field if your organisation will be transitioning to security device ID security in the future.

When selecting Single Sign-On ID following information needs be specified -

Single Sign-On ID - The ID used for the user to access the system using single sign-on.

 

Enable Web Service Access

Selecting a radio button for this setting will turn on web service capabilities for the selected User.

Admin Security Profile*

The admin security profile to which the admin user is assigned. This list includes all security profiles established by the bank, by the admin user's organisation, or by any organisation that are higher in the organisation hierarchy than the current user.

Time Zone*

The time zone for the admin user. Selecting a time zone here allows you to identify the time zone with which the user is associated. The following are examples of time zone selections:

(GMT +00:00) Europe/London

(GMT -05:00) EST - Eastern Standard Time

(GMT +10:00) Australia/Sydney

Date Format

 The user’s preferred date format. 

Organisation*

The organisation to which the admin user is assigned. To specify, select an organisation from the drop-down list. The contents of the list depend on your own organisation type, as follows:

If you are a client bank-level admin user, the list includes your client bank name plus all bank groups for the client bank.

If you are a ASP-level admin user, the list includes ASP plus all client bank organisations.

If you are a bank group-level user, the list defaults to an organisation for the new user, and no values display in the drop-down list.

Bank Group Restriction Rule

Dropdown will display all  Bank Restriction rule names that have been created under the new ‘ Bank Group Restriction Rule’ Ref Data

Corporate Access

 

Allow user to act on behalf of a Corporate Customer (Administrators can never authorise transactions) – Yes/No

Selecting Yes indicates that the admin user is allowed to act on behalf of a corporate customer through the Customer Access function of the system.

Customer Access Security Profile

If you selected the second Corporate Access option button indicating that the user is able to act on behalf of corporate customers, select a security profile from this drop-down list. The security profiles included in the list depend on your level in the organisation hierarchy, as follows:

For ASP-level admin users, the list includes all security profiles added by ASP users through the Reference Data Area with Security Profiles.

For client bank-level admin users, the list includes security profiles added by ASP users and client bank users through the Reference Data Area with Security Profiles.

For bank group-level admin users, the list includes security profiles added by ASP users, client bank users, and bank group users through the Reference Data Area with Security Profiles.

Note: Regardless of the customer access security profile selection, admin users cannot authorise transactions on behalf of a corporate customer.

Admin Reporting Categories

Each of these drop downs display the list of bank defined admin report category descriptions as well as the existing baseline categories.

If no Admin Report Categories are selected for the Admin User, all standard reports will be available to the Admin user. Once a Report category is selected on the Admin User Profile, the Admin will only have access to Admin level reports assigned to those report categories.

Save

Pressing this button saves the current information in all sections of the Admin User page.  

Save & Close

Pressing this button saves the current information in all sections of the Admin User page and returns you to the Admin Users Listing page. This button does not appear when the page is displayed in read-only mode.

Delete

Pressing this button deletes the currently displayed admin user from the system and returns you to the Admin Users Listing page. For more information, see Deleting Admin Users. This button does not appear when the page is displayed in read-only mode.

Close

Pressing this button closes the Admin User page without saving any information and returns you to the Admin Users Listing.

Approve

Pressing this button indicates approval of pending reference data changes.  This button only appears when the page is accessed through the Reference Data Requiring Approval page.

Reject

Pressing this button indicates rejection of pending reference data changes. This button only appears when the page is accessed through the Reference Data Requiring Approval page.
